The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.
SASSA will be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The support stage created for intervention experiences a high influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
